Perfect weather to fly the kites

Well, it has taken us a while to do this, but we finally did visit PEI (Prince Edward Island)!
Our inn guests often do the round trip NB, PEI, NS and ask all sorts of questions, which are hard to answer as all summer we're working 7 days/week. So, the Ritters packed up as soon as 'Indulge' Festival was over and visited PEI for 4 days. Well, the sidewalks are pretty much rolled up now, but we saw a tour bus at Point Prim Lighthouse and decided to tug behind it (in hopes of seeing some sights open still). We got to go up two lighthouses and enjoyed the late fall scenery with almost zero tourists, wohoo! We enjoyed a scoop of 'Cow's Creamery' ice cream, yummy, went to 'Leonhard's Cafe' (absolute recommend when in Charlottetown) and spend a lot of fun time at the Hotel pool as per the kids' request.
I managed to paint one painting, too! It felt good to relax and reconnect as a family and now we're back and refreshed- restaurant open again, and starting with the carpenter tomorrow tackling the back of the house, haha!

Nun, es hat eine ganze Weile gedauert- genau 15 Jahre- bis wir nun doch letzte Woche PEI (Prince Edward Island) besucht haben! Unsere Pensionsgäste machen oft die Rundreise NB, PEI, NS und haben viele Fragen, die schwer zu beantworten sind, wenn man selbst 7 Tage/Woche die Saison über arbeitet. Aber die Ritters packten ihre Taschen gleich nachdem das 'Indulge Festival' vorüber war und statteten PEI einen lang überfälligen Besuch ab. Auf der Insel waren dann wirklich schon die Gehwege hochgeklappt, aber wir sahen einen Reisebus am Point Prim Leuchtturm und entschlossen ihm hinterherzufahren in der Hoffnung, einige Attraktionen geöffnet zu sehen... naja, wir besichtigten dann zwei Leuchttürme genossen die schöne spätherbstliche Landschaft mit fast gar keinen Touristen. Auch gönnten wir uns leckere 'Cows Creamery' Eiscreme, und entdeckten Leonhard's Cafe (ein absolutes 'Muss' wenn in Charlottetown). Wir waren Dauergast im Hotelpool- auf unserer Kinder hinraten, haha.
Ich habe es geschafft EIN Bild zu malen! Es war toll ein paar Tage gemeinsam auszuspannen und nun sind wir zurueck und wieder in vollem Schwung mit Restaurantbuchungen und Aussenarbeiten am Haus, die morgen beginnen, haha!       Vielen Dank fuers vorbeischauen! Blessings, Simone
